All About Mr. Eatherton

All About Mr. Eatherton:

Welcome back to the new school year! I’m Tyler Eatherton and I’m thrilled to be teaching Literacy for 6th Grade at Pulaski Academy!

I am beginning my third year at Pulaski Academy. Before becoming a Bruin, I taught for two years in Neosho, Missouri. I taught 5th Grade English/Language Arts & Social Studies to Spanish speaking students. I received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Middle Level Education from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. I’m currently working on my Masters of Education at Harding University in the Graduate Reading Program. My passion is teaching literacy, and I’m excited to share the importance of reading!

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring the great outdoors. My love for adventure has taken me to many unexpected places. I’ve traveled up the Amazon River to live in the village of Timbo, Brazil. I’ve also hiked and camped in the Rocky Mountains while visiting our friendly neighbors to the north, near the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia. I can’t wait to see what new stamp my passport will receive! While I’m gone, my backpack always carries my trusty hammock, the latest book that I can’t put down – usually young adult literature, and my Nikon camera! To stay active, I frequently bike wherever the road may lead or swim laps at the gym. If I ever get a second to relax, Survivor or the latest tennis tournament will be on my television screen. I also look forward to quality time spent with friends, family, and my church community.

If you need to contact me, feel free to email me at tyler.eatherton@pulaskiacademy.org. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your parents soon!

One must always be careful of books, and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

  1. HEY Mr. Eatherton, remember me?!😊 I know its kind of wired that I found you, (I’m not a stalker!) but I just wanted to say hey, and that we didn’t forget you. We all miss you, and hope you enjoy teaching in Arkansas.
